29 US states and 21 countries are registered for NMW events so far. If you attended a NMW event last year in a state or country that hasn’t yet registered an event – get in touch with the organizers and tell them you want a 2013 event too! Better yet – organize one yourself. You don’t have to be affiliated with a nature center or preserve to have a NMW event – hanging out in your own backyard watching your porch light totally counts, too.
Also, I’ve gotten a few inquiries about daytime mothing events for participants who can’t or don’t want to stay out late into the night looking for moths. NJ Audubon’s Scherman-Hoffman Preserve is hosting a morning moth event just for that purpose. Check it out!
