This weekend Pleasant Village Community Garden (PVCG) will celebrate National Moth Week with music and moth “hunting”.

*On Friday, 7/26, from 7:30 – 8:40 p.m. The Hunters with guest Gili Sharett, basoonist will play a set of  honky tonk tunes. The suggested donation is $5.00 and there will be lots of cheap food, too. Moths (and fireflies) are free!

*OnFriday &Saturday evenings, 7/26 & 7/27 from dusk (8:30 p.m.) until 10:30 p.m. we will set up lights to attract moths and photograph them. Free! Jim des Rivieres, the artist behind the beautiful images in the Winged Tapestries exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History, will join us in the fun on Friday evening.

Pleasant Village Community Garden is an expansive Greenthumb/NYC Park with fruit trees, vegetable beds, grape arbors, barbecue grills and a terrific flock of chickens.
We’re located in a quiet corner of East Harlem, on Pleasant Avenue, between East 118th and East 119th Streets, one block east of First Avenue. PVCG is accessible via the 4/5/6 trains to 116th/Lexington, and the M15 bus to First Avenue/117th Street.
