The Kwiaht Center for the Historical Ecology of the Salish Sea in San Juan County, WA is  hosting a special research talk by Washington State bat biologist Ella Rowan followed by an opportunity to listen in to bats flying and feeding over the Village. Begins at 8:30pm on Sunday July 28th at the Kwiaht office (Lopez Plaza #9–the back porch).

The following Thursday, August 1st join Kwiaht for a talk on our local moths. We’ll have moth-collecting traps and will guide an evening of moth viewing in Lopez village. Begins at 9:30pm at the Kwiaht office.

Both events are part of Kwiaht’s ongoing Lopez Dark Skies Initiative.
