National Moth Week’s newest supporter is 10,000 Birds!
10,000 Birds is one of the web’s favorite virtual watering holes for discussion of birding, nature, conservation, and the wide, wide world. Naturalists looking for news, reviews, and copious commentary are encouraged to visit.
The site was founded in 2003 by Mike Bergin, who is based out of Rochester, NY. Mike is an authority in the field of standardized test preparation, however his REAL goal is to be a naturalist. Besides founding 10,000 birds Mike has also created a number of other outstanding websites and resources, most importantly the Nature Blog Network, a collection the best nature blogs on the internet. 10,000 Birds has won numerous awards and was declared one of the 100 most informative blogs in the world by Carnegie Mellon University in 2007!
