Bergen County Audubon Society (www.bergencountyaudubon.org) is the local chapter of The National Audubon in Northern New Jersey. We are an all volunteer organization founded in 1941 and are now in our 71st year. Our mission is to promote and protect wildlife in its natural habitat by providing opportunities for observation and conservation.
Bergen County Audubon Society is a year-round chapter with an active involvement in Education and Conservation, working with local schools and community groups. We offer a Birding Field Trip or Nature Walk almost every weekend throughout the year.
We partner with the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission in nature programs events including a focus on moths and butterflies during the warmer months. Our additional summer offerings and walks also highlight native plants and habitat restoration.
