National Moth Week is pleased to announce that Dan Ford has joined our team. Dan is a recent graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Entomology, Agriculture and Natural Resource Studies, and Wildlife Ecology. Dan is currently employed as an Environmental Scientist with EcolSciences, Inc., an environmental consulting firm in Rockaway, New Jersey. Prior to his employment at EcolSciences, Dan was a Field Technician with the Rutgers University Cooperative Extension Pest Management Office, conducting farmland inspections for agricultural insect pests and plant diseases. During college, Dan was employed as a Biological Technician by the USDA Beneficial Insect Research Unit in Newark, Delaware, where he worked on research projects including the testing of potential biological control agents of the invasive brown marmorated stink bug. Dan was also the Garden Manager and Volunteer Coordinator at the University of Delaware Garden for the Community and an undergraduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware. Dan is also an Eagle Scout and enjoys spending time outdoors. We welcome Dan aboard!
