Vijay Barve, NMW India Coordinator, is a winner of the GBIF Young Researchers Award

Vijay Barve, National Moth Week India Coordinator for India, has been selected as a winner of the GBIF (Global Biodiversity Information Facility) Young Researchers Award.

Vijay Barve is a research fellow at the Foundation for Revitalisation of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT) in Bangalore, and a PhD candidate at the University of Kansas, United States. He is one of the two 2014 winners of the €4,000 award, granted annually to graduate students demonstrating research innovation and originality, the potential for significant contributions to biodiversity science, and the creative use of data published through GBIF.    Read more on the GBIF website.
