NMW event results from Fairbanks, Alaska

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ken Philip sent thesee photos from his NMW event in Alaska.
Here are two photos showing all the moths obtained by Jim Kruse and me the night of 27-28 July in the Bonanza Creek Experimental Forest. The first photo is my catch (KWP) and the second is Jim’s (Kruse). Both these photos have been sent to Cliff Ferris for help with determinations–but he may ask to have some of these sent to him, so it may be some time before we have IDs.
I do have tentative IDs for the top 4 in the first column of my catch:
Drepana arcuata
Eulithis testata?
Sicya macularia
Eulithis xylena?
and for the first one in the 2nd column:
Scoliopteryx libatrix
and the genus only for the 3rd and 4th in that column:
Syngrapha.
The two green geometrids in Jim’s batch are Campaea perlata.
At least you can see what we got, even if they are not yet determined…
