Max Frederick “I’ve been looking across the web for moth night events that aren’t registered. I find their contact information and get in touch and see if they will register.”
Until 2015, when Liti started using Google map tools, events were added to the map individually. These are the volunteers who helped creating and updating the maps:
Lani Wyman is a college student at Rutgers University in New Jersey USA. Lani is studying anthropology and linguistics. She loves to read, travel and spend time with her friends and family. Lani has always been fascinated by maps and geography. Lani has attended many moth nights in East Brunswick, NJ, the birth place of National Moth Week and she is thrilled to become a part of the NMW mapping group.
Nat Birrer is a college student who will be attending Ramapo College starting in the fall. For the past three years he has been taking courses at the County College of Morris in addition to highschool classes. He is interested in nature, science, computers, and mapping, and plans to double major in computer science and environmental science. He has worked as a summer camp counselor at the Schiff Nature Preserve for two years, and has been a member of the stewardship crew there, managing the trails and controlling the spread of invasive plants. He enjoys volunteer work, loves photography, and in his spare time he plays the guitar, flute, and Irish whistle.
