Cristo flier smallThis year as part of my participation in the National Moth Week, I have the opportunity to teach a course on lepidopterology during 23 to 18 July. The course is to give the main notions about the study of taxonomy and ecology of butterflies and moths in the Neotropics landscapes and will take place at the premises of the University of Caldas in Manizales, Colombia. We will have several field trips in the sub-Andean forests nearby city, where different techniques for sampling of butterflies will be implemented during the day and moth species at night.

This course will give participants the basis to develop future studies on biodiversity and conservation of this wonderful and unknown group of insects.
